REMEMBER WHEN

March 29, 2009

Remember when what you wore did not matter, boys had cooties, playing in the mud was the best game ever, tag was fun, you could not find a good hiding spot in hide and go seek because you were always laughing.

Remember when…

Everyone owned a pair of light up sneakers?
Hey Arnold and Full House were the
best shows ever?
Everyone could
singthe rap to Fresh Prince of Bellaire?
“Talk to the hand” said it all?
The ultimate comeback was “Well why don’t you marry it?”
Enie Meanie Minie Mo solved
every little problem?
Almost every sentence was finished with the word “NOT”?
Everyone had
at leastone Tamagochi?
When you learned the planets in school, Pluto
was one of them?
All movies came out on VHS?
The Rugrats were
still babies?
Bill Nye was the smartest guy ever?
You took plastic cartoon lunchboxes to school?
Mr. Rogers was the coolest man alive?
You knew the
pink and red power rangers were meant to be together?

Remember the first day of middle school, you were so scared and had no idea what to do. Kids started have name brands and all of a sudden your friends in elementary school were the ones making fun of you. You had to move rooms to go to your next class, you had locks on your locker, and you had to change for guy class.

Remember 7th grade, were you had friends but because of you new self not because they liked you for you but because they liked this made up version, when you had no idea what to do with all the pointless drama, when you best-guy-friend becomes your first crush, when you first hand saw the mini skirt and uggs fashion started, when makeup was an everyday thing, when you don’t know who to trust, when your grades are not the best you can do.

Remember 8th grade, you feel like you’re on top of the world, you have great friends, no fights, and assume teachers, but you still wondering what would happen to you reap if you defended that freak no one likes or wore and out dated shirt to school or even if you raised you hand for everything in class. It’s the 8th grade you’re going to be in high school soon, but all you can think about is leaving your good and bad memories. high school seems so far but yet so close, you’re scared that you’ll have no classes with your friends, your locker is the one that never works, your teachers are mean, and you’re so stressed you can’t breathe.

But you know what I’m not going to think of it that way, I’m going to make my mark at school, I want the teachers telling their new 8th graders stories about me and my friends. I’m going to skip down the halls of high school and not care whose watching, I’m going to make new friends and have the time of my life. But the one thing that I’m scared about is that what will everyone thing if I showed them the real me?

GREEN

March 26, 2009

For me going green is about helping the animals and plants. It is so terrible how the polar bears are dyeing because of us, I can’t really help with that but I can help with the pollution that is killing these animals.

Coal, it is very full efficient but VERY bad and kills MANY plants and animals just to get it; and the factories are letting out chemicals that will kill any animal livening near it. I know we need more fuel efficient stuff but I frankly don’t want it if it’s killing all these because little animals. And if we could just no get the real kinds of purses/coats for their sake.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

March 24, 2009

I got tagged and I would have to say that…. Music, music is the one thing that inspires me, gives me advice, and is relaxing. Music is my life and I love to listen to it, play it, and write it. The music now (mostly country) has to do with real things that happen to you in high school and as a teen; like heartbreak, having someone close to you die, and just plan being stressed. The closed song I have ever heard that had to do with my like would have to be…. YOU BELONG WITH ME, by TAYLOR SWIFT, that song is about a girl who likes a guy a lot but he has a girl friend and she does not get why he is going out with this girl that is not his type and that she is for him not this girl. I have only had 1 thing happen to be that fits this song PERFACT and it’s going on now, the song is really for any girl that likes a guy and his friends with the guy she likes, but he has a girlfriend and.,…….. well the song is the first one on my mix pod so if you are reading this you are hearing it now; or you can just watch the viedo below :)

Another song I kind of can relate to is I’D LIE by TAYLOR SWIFT (the 2nd song on my mix pod, or you can just watch the video below). It is mainly about how she really likes this guy… well you can listen to it. It pretty much is the same thing I am going through with this guy (the same guy I talked about in the paragraph above).

The songs by Taylor swift really help me understand that I’m not the only one that has to go through the whole guy stuff.

Music also inspires me to believe in myself, I hear a lot about artists that made it to becoming famous and they were just my age when they started. I have been writing songs since well last year, I really enjoy it. I don’t have the guts to sing it or show it to other people through.

Heres a saying that i got off of http://wittyprofiles.com

DO YOU DEFINE A PERSON BY THEIR ACTIONS OR THEIR INTENTIONS?

March 19, 2009

OK, well when Mr. B told us to write a post on this question I wanted to write about how I judge by persons intentions. I remember my dad always use to say that “the rode to hell is paved with good intentions.” I think it means that you could have meant good from something but acted badly on it. So I’m going to say that, first off you should not judge at all but, I would judge by persons actions even though a person could have meant good only bad came from what they did.

At first I wanted to say intentions because maybe a person didn’t mean for that to happen, but then I remembered what happened to my friend. One day at lunch she was at my table talking and a girl came up to her and was calling her all these names, and was saying all this stuff about her the turned in to a HUGE rumor that got out of hand. My friend cried and when you make my friend cry I don’t care (and I DO mean I DON’T care) if you did not mean for it to happen, but it did. You see when my friend was crying I went up to the girl and said you made her cry and she came back with a “I don’t care.” I know how your not suppose to live with a grudge but when it comes to friends I will keep a grudge. What got me to pick actions was that the girl never said sorry to my friend and even if she intended to she didn’t. SO I labeled her, and I know how your not suppose to label someone you don’t know, but why don’t you say that again to yourself while you’re trying to comfort a friend.

Days like those are the days were you really wonder who your real friends are.

I am just going to stick to the saying I said before because it’s a good one, but it also depends on the story or problem at hand. What would you judge a person by?

WHAT IS DEMOCRACY?

March 18, 2009

Well let’s see, democracy to me would have to be a group of people with a voice. For example like if you wanted to have homework or not we would be able to have a vote and a say on it. BUT I have to use the technical definition, so here it is:

democracy/dɪˈmɒk si/ Show Spelled Pronunciation[di-mok-ruh-see] Show IPA

–Noun, plural -cies government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/democracy
i also used: www.whatisdemocracy.net?

I would have to say that we are a democracy to an extent, so like we have a voice but there is a difference to a kid’s voice and adults. If a kid says they want to change something people don’t listen as much as they would if an adult said it. I just can’t wait till I’m older and people will actually listen to what I have to say.

DIFFERENT?

March 14, 2009

The first thing we did in kindergarten was get
shown a picture of an apple and two oranges
then we had to pick out which one didn’t belong,
the first thing we were taught is that
being [d i f f e r e n t] is wrong.

Now that i think about it, it’s really true; how that was the first thing we were taught, was that the different one stood out and you had to pick that out of a group and it was not supposed to be there. The more i think about being different, just sit back and think, of that kid that is always made fun of, or that girl that has no friends, people make fun of that kid because he is different and the girl has no friends because she is different. My parents always say to be yourself, but what if yourself is different and you don’t want to be that girl with no friends or be made fun of, so you change. Teachers and all adults say not to follow the crowd but then why is the crowd better then being alone, how come being in the crowd you have friends but being alone you have no one, why does everyone say to be your own person but when you are people laugh at you; like your not suppose to be yourself, like that’s a crazy idea. Just ask yourself this,

Remember when you thought..
explicit songs were dirty
you were vain if you wore makeup
grinding at dances was gross
texting was annoying
you wouldn’t have a boyfriend until you were in college
kissing made us squirmy
hollister and abercrombie stores scared us
and spin the bottle was a big kids game?
Do you remember the moment you changed?
Do you remember becoming

the person you swore you’d never become?

I can tell you right now that i don’t remember becoming the person i swore not to become but i do remember when i hated the person that I’ve become, when i got sick of this fake person, when i wanted to be myself again; but you know what…… its been so long … i forgot who i was in the beginning, before all the middle school drama; everything before that is all a blur. It’s almost like before i changed the memories were so bad that my brain just got rid of them. So next time you tell someone to ”be yourself” think about the last time you were yourself.
